Very Refreshing to find a contractor who is customer oriented with great communications. From the beginning, phone calls and emails were promptly responded to. Their estimate was very inclusive and easy to understand. The crew was wonderful to work with. They were on time every day, took and hour lunch and departed on time. No Surprises. JM Decks and Fences did a great job with our project. It was about 300 linear feet of fencing and included two access gates. The project manager, Chris, was very good during the proposal and responded to all our questions and provided detailed information about their construction process and methods. They were also very good about working around our schedule to fit in a time that would work for us. They said it would take about 4 days to do the project and they had it done by mid-morning of the fourth day. The workers were friendly and were willing to work with us on some specific items, no issues at all with the workmanship. I was also very impressed with the cleanup and they removed all the old fencing and scrap from the new installation. Overall, it was an excellent project and I highly recommend the team at JM Decks and Fences.

JM Decks just completed our 550 sq ft composite deck resurfacing project. The process from first contacting the company to completion was seamless. From first contact, the office staff (shout out to Christopher and Parker!) were very responsive and super helpful in addressing every question I had, including a couple tips to help save $ on this very large project. I next met with Antonio, who came out for the estimate. He was on time, courteous, and very knowledgeable. I ended up not even getting other quotes as we built a level of trust very quickly and he worked with me on initial price. Even though “just” a resurfacing (upgrade from wood to Timbertech composite), the project was major due to the size of the deck, way the original decking ran under the house, having to replace all floor joists, having to unattach and reattach a “dry ceiling” that is connected to a gutter system, replacement of damaged insulation, and a complete rebuild of the connecting stairs. They also rebuilt some stairs and added a railing to the side of our front porch. The Timbertech color Antonio suggested matches the 30 year old Trex on the rest of the front porch perfectly, and my 74 year old mom is very appreciative of the railing! The project took about 2.5 weeks from start to finish, with a few rain days in there. But the whole time, the crew was a pleasure to work with. They were all very nice, predictable (they came around the same time each morning and left around the same time each evening), trustworthy, and they did a really good job of cleaning up the work site each night before they left (including using a magnet to sweep for stray nails), so it didn’t feel like we were living in a construction zone. They worked very hard to complete the project before I had to leave town on a known work trip, and even started a few days earlier than planned. And throughout the whole project, Christopher, Parker, Antonio and the crew lead were very responsive to my questions, calls and texts, answering within minutes most times, as our questions arose (I bothered them a LOT, lol). Thank you ALL, we LOVE our new deck and the peace of mind that comes with knowing it was done right.

High quality work. The team asked detailed questions along the way to make sure the screened-porch came out exactly as I imagined it. They handled the permitting/inspection process with very little city/county interaction required on my end. I spoke with 5-6 deck builders in the triangle for quotes before starting this project and feel like JM was reasonably priced and ended up providing great quality craftsmanship.
